after completing the installation i get the login screen (which is normal, i think) but somehow i keep getting back errors ('login failed', or 'coneetion with imap failed'). My first Question is, i dont have/need an imap connection so why this errormessage? when i write my own simple script to login (with a pop3 connection) it all goes fine, a username (the email adress) and the password are therefore fine, but what do i have to fill in at 'server'? thanks |

RoundCube does not work with POP3. You need an IMAP server.

hmm well since i dont have my own server, that is going to be a problem.
you dont happen to know an other web client that uses a mysql DB to store the emails (like roundcube). thanks for the help |

thanks for your fast reply, but that webclient (like most others) dont work with a database where they store the emails in. most clients just keep read from the mailserver what is still in your inbox and use a DB for some user information. RoundCube is the only one that i could find that really stores the email in the database.
if you have any other sugestion i'd love to hear it. remy |

False, RoundCube does only cache the message structure and headers not the whole message in the database.
