Default parsing tempaltes?

i have such problem. i am writing... no its not real plugin, but only simple 'cosmetic' change. i want to have different icon for the same action in "messagetoolbar" depending on which box you are in. (for example another in Spam box and another in main INBOX), but i don't know how to do that, because it seems to me templates/mail.html is parsed only once when i choose task==mail. and when i change boxes this template is not parsed.

it is hard to do that? please give me some tips?

i'm not sure if it's clear what i wrote here, if not please ask me.

Ok I think I get what your saying, and I think that it would be very hard to do. I haven't seen anybody do it before. Sorry.
