Installing a second webmail

Hi,

I have a dedicated server on a suse linux 9.3 and the plesk 8.1 system. The provided webmail is horde. I wonder if it is possible to install roundcube as well, without deleting horde. I'm afraid if I delete horde it will be the mess in plesk.

Yes you can install Roundcube with other systems. Just put roundcube in a directory like other scripts and read the readme and your away!

Now I wonder...

with my linux distro and plesk 8, the default webmail is horde. That means when I type webmail.mydomain.com, I go to the horde system. Sure I can go to roundcube by typing www.mydomain.com/roundcubemail, but that do not please me...

So the question is: how do I make roundcube the default webmail system? The one to use when I type webmail.mydomain.com?

You probably have an alias assigned in an httpd.conf file on your system for "webmail"

on my system (Fedora Core 5) there is a directory called "/etc/httpd/conf.d" inside that directory are program-specific configuration files for httpd. I had a file called "squirrelmail.conf" which had an alias assigned to "webmail" I removed that alias and installed roundcube in a directory called "webmail."

Now what you are asking is a little different, I access my webmail by going to domain.com/webmail. You want webmail.domain.com which probably has an alias pointing to your horde install. You just need to find that in the httpd.conf file or the program specific conf.d directory (if SUSE uses that like Fedora).
