Default Installation Problem... Please Help!

Hello,

I've been referred to this awesome online webmail program this evening, and I loved it so much I downloaded it and went to install it, but I ran into some problems.

After configuring my config file, I went to my roundcube location at https://ipbtutorials.com/m/index.php, and it does not work, but just shows a blank page.

Please advise me on what exactly I need to do in order to finish this installation up and get my roundcube going.

I'd really appreciate any help I could get!

Thanks,
Brandon

Can you give us the steps you did, also what versions of PHP / MySQL / Apache that you are running?

Thanks.

Gary

Hello Gary,

I'd be happy to.

First, I downloaded the package from roundcube's website onto my mac, unzipped it, read the instructions, and then I went to upload the contents to a folder specifically set up for roundcube. Then, I went into cPanel to create my database, username, linked them together, etc. And then I went back and edited my details into the php file and re-uploaded that and got the current blank page I am looking at on https://ipbtutorials.com/m.

As far as my versions that you asked me:

PHP version 4.4.4
MySQL version 4.1.21-standard
Apache version 1.3.37 (Unix)

I really want to get this set up and running, but I don't know what to do.

Please assist me!

Thanks,
Brandon

My guess.

You don't have error warnings turned on in the php.ini so you can't see whats working and whats not.

change php.ini so that the error message line is just E_ALL

my second guess is that you forgot to rename the two .dist files in the config folder to just .php (its quite small in the instructions but is clearly written).

let me know if that works.

cheers

I have just the same problem.

I run my rc on 2000 advanced server sp4 and iis5
the latest stable version of hmailserver
MySQLServer 5.0.16

I have made the changes in php.ini

I have change the names of db.inc.php and main.inc.php
If I rename them I got error messages

Why this blank page with no error messages?
