Changing user login with IMAP auth
« on: October 20, 2014, 07:46:54 AM »
Hi All,

I have a Roundcube system that authenticates against Cyrus IMAP and I need to change the mailbox names as we're integrating two system with different naming conventions.

In the past, with name changes, I've created an new login using saslpasswd2 and then  renamed the mailbox using Cyrus but obviously users lose profile settings, message highlighting etc.

Is changing the username in the database all that would be required to migrate accounts or is there more to it?

Thanks,

Jools

Changing the username in the database will keep all of the users settings and address book when they login.
