Drafts and trash won't be deleted
« on: May 06, 2015, 05:09:06 PM »
Hi there,

I moved from host (from directadmin to cpanel).
In both cases i using roundcube as email.

Only in the new situation (with cpanel) i can't delete or sign off from the maps "drafts" and "trash".
I don't use them en won't use them.
I don't selected  it by special maps.
When i delete it it wil be deleted but the system creates the maps again.

Is there anyway to turn them off?

Greets Kees.

You can turn $config['create_default_folders'] in the Roundcube config, but only if you access to the config.inc.php which if your using the Roundcube that is installed with cPanel you wont be able to.

I have tryed that but it creates the folders again.
If i turn $config['create_default_folders'] on or off it don't make any change.

In that case the folder maybe being created or delete protected by the mail server instead of Roundcube.

I see in squirrelmail the same happening.
On my old host this is not happening.
Is this a issue of cpanel or is it a setting (so i can ask my host to turn it on or off)?

That would clearly point to the mail server, I'm sure its a setting but I couldn't say which one and it would also depend on what mail server your host is using. It would be best to ask your host if they can change the mail server behavior.
