email Account being spoofed HELP PLEASE
« on: July 28, 2015, 03:39:56 PM »
Hi guys,

just helping my dad with a spoofing issue (neither of us are tech savy so simple terms will be gratefully recieved)

he has got a small business with a roundcube account for his emails etc. but he keeps getting tonnes of failure of delivery notices. i have researched how to stop or near enough hide all the emails (getting about 30 a day) but they are all mostly Gmail accounts etc and cant find any advice for a roundcube account.

as i say, not the most tech savvy so any help will be really appreciated!!!!
thanks.

If the mail isn't actual coming from your server that means someone is spoofing the from header to be your address. If someone is spoofing the from address there isn't really anything you can do about it other than setup a spam filter on the mail server to catch/delete the emails.

Ok thanks. Had a look on the round cube emails, but it seems just basic. I don't get how to set up a filter folder for spam on this kind of program?
