roundcube on android
« on: August 16, 2015, 02:15:11 PM »
Hello everyone, I'm new in this forum.
I wanted to ask a question for synchronizing roundcube with Android.
I have installed roundcube on a NAS (Synology).
I can sync my emails with outlook, without problems.
I would like to know if I can synchronize roundcube with my smartphone (Android).
This is possible?
Greetings  :)

Just use any Android mail client to directly connect to the mail server, Roundcube isn't part of the configuration.

thanks for the reply. :D

My configurations are:
email: pippo@xxx.synology.me
password: xxxxxxxxx
username: \pippo
server: xxx.synology.me
type of security: SSL/TLS (accept all certificates)
door: ??????? (587-443-143)
What is the exact door to access roundcube?

You would setup the Android mail client with IMAP using the the settings you have.

Some time ago I used Zarafa.
This client needed another application to sync with Android, that is "Z-push".
Roundcube need a similar application?

I have configured the my server (synology), like this:

http://postimg.org/image/685xn479l/

which door should I use to synchronize with roundcube?

Android default apps can talk IMAP and SMTP. You don't need Z-Push (Activesync), it would be needed for contacts/calendars/notes/tasks, but that does not exist in default Roundcube installations. It's possible e.g. with Kolab Groupware.

hi, I have finally configured to receive mail with Android. :D
I have not installed any applications but, following the advice of SKaero 8), I used the same setting of my IMAP server.
