.htaccess 5 Megs
« on: December 27, 2016, 11:57:50 AM »
I Don't remember if I Ever Posted about the .htaccess File Limiting Attachments to 5 Megs.  When I Upgrade RC Versions, it Goes Back to 5 Meg Attachment Limits.  5 Meg Limits is Well Outdated.  20 Megs Attachments & 22 Full Size would be a Lot Better!  I Personally Change it to 20 & 22.   8)

20 Gigs! Attachments that size would definitely be rejected by other mail servers.

I Meant 20 Megs.  I Changed that Post.  I Usually Send Much Smaller.  But 5 Megs seems Way to Small.   8)

Just for other readers.

You will need to change your SMTP server to accommodate a matching file size as well. I think Postfix defaults to 10MB on an individual message for instance.

Web server cache size, server memory, and time outs will apply.

And as stated the recipient needs to support the file size as well.

Best to pick a sensible number  :)
