Name tag in e-mail campaign
« on: January 11, 2017, 07:33:38 AM »
I have a question about Roundcube. I use Roundcube for a while, but since this year I am using it for emailcampaings. I have searched for my question, but I couldn't find the right answer.

I have my contacts (for the mailinglist) added to the addressbook in Roundcube. Is it possible to get a tag, for example [firstname], to personlize my emailmarketing for my newsletter? For example Hi Tom, Hi Peter, Hi Sarah in him or her own mail?

There is nothing like that in the core and I doubt there ever will be as Roundcube is not a bulk email program but I think it could be done with a plugin. Something that could take a message template and then perform the mail merge. Of course there are already lots of services out there which do bulk emailing too.
Roundcube Plugins: Contextmenu, SpamAssassin Prefs, and moreā€¦

I'm not sure it's what you asked for, but see https://plugins.roundcube.net/packages/random-cuber/responses
