How to transfer settings?
« on: February 07, 2017, 05:28:34 PM »
I am trying to transfer the Roundcube settings from one mail server to another. The old server is Roundcube 1.2.3. The new server is Roundcube 1.1.7.

I found this article on the Roundcube Github site:
 https://github.com/roundcube/roundcubemail/wiki/Configuration
that talks about how to copy the setting, which is supposedly in a single .php file:
config/config.inc.php
...but I cannot find the file that this article mentions.

Does anyone know where this file would be, or an alternate ways of transferring the settings?

Many thanks,
Rick

Because you are downgrading the version of Roundcube I do not think you can simply copy the config from one to another. I'd reccomend that you go through the settings manually to ensure there are no issues.

<rc root>/config/config.inc.php is the default location of the Roundcube config file. You could check if when your version of 1.2.3 was setup it was done wrong and who it was put your config into <rc root>/config/defaults.inc.php rather than config.inc.php other than that there is no really no way for anyone to guess how your server is configued.
