How to enable searching?
« on: February 14, 2017, 03:05:20 PM »
When users search from the search box on the main screen in our Roundcube instance, they receive a message "Search Returned No Matches.", though the search term indeed should return a match or multiple matches.

Is there a place where we need to enable the ability to search for end-users?

Mike

Roundcube uses search on the IMAP server, make sure your IMAP server support search.

We have it running on an OS X server using Apple's Server App (and thus the built in mail server).  I don't see any setting there that would either enable/disable searching ability.

Do you know if IMAP servers expose such a setting?

I think the mac app is using Dovecot for mail. there should be a setting for it in Dovecot but I'm not sure of the exact steps to enable it.
