not displaying number of unread emails in folder

Hi,

I have roundcube installed and have created folders and set email filters to sort certain emails with specific subject line into these folder.(I assume these are server side as they do not appear to be part of roundcube)
Anyway, the filtering part works fine and messages get correctly sorted, but the custom folders do not show that they contains unread messages unless I click on the folder.

Is there a way to fix that,so that I can see the unread count for each folder? or a better way to do this?

Preferences > Mailbox View > New message > Check all folders for new messages
