How to save Username at login screen?
« on: May 10, 2008, 03:17:04 PM »
How do I avoid having to fill in my username everytime I want to login to RC mail? Are there no cookie settings that will remember a username in each users browser?

Any help would be great!

Thanks,
Mike

In my browser it works without filling the username and password every time i login. Do you have your coockies activated ? What browser do you use ?

Yes, my browser (IE6&7&FF) is configured correctly. Every other forum, mail client or website I visit saves my username but RC will not (along with over 200 clients as well). I could easily create a custom login screen and set a cookie, but shouldn't RC do this already? Is there a setting that needs changing?

Thanks,
Mike

On two systems I use for accessing RC, FF remembers the usrname and password between sessions and automatically fills them in.

Make sure there is only one username stored; otherwise this won't work.

I also would like to figure out how to impliment a "remember me" checkbox so users won't have to enter their username or password every time they log-in.
