installation problem: syntax error
« on: May 30, 2011, 05:34:21 PM »
Hi,
I want to install roundcube on my site, but when i click on start installation on the welcome.html page i get this error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /home/vhosts/domain.nl/httpdocs/roundcubemail-0.5.2/program/include/main.inc on line 73

I just downloaded the program via the official site.

Does someone know what the problem could be?

My guess would be that there was a problem during the upload and some files where truncated, try uploading RoundCube again.

Skaero,
I just downloaded the program again from roundcube.net and uploaded it to my own website, but still the same syntax error.

Really don't know what i'm doing wrong.

RoundCube requires PHP 5.2.1 or higher so make sure that the Roundcube directory is setup to use PHP 5, most likely is defaulting to PHP 4.
