Maybe you have a Incorrect webmail configuration
On the webmail node you have:
# grep https /usr/share/psa-roundcube/config/ | grep -v '/'
$rcmail_config['force_https'] = true;
$rcmail_config['use_https'] = true;
You should set one of the option to false
Try and let me know if it helped

You should not edit the content of because this file should be replaced during any upgrade. You should put your config vars in to The contents of overrides

PHP says the error is unexpected variable on line 378 so the error is probably in the provious line. Note: I mean the previous line of PHP not the comments.

You'll have to create a script that will create accounts on your mail server.

After update to roundcubemail 1.2.5 I do get an blank page.

In apache error log it says

 [php5:error]  PHP Parse error:  syntax error, unexpected '$config' (T_VARIABLE) in /etc/roundcubemail/ on line 378

Where to look into?
What to check?

I want to make my WEBMAIL public so that users can sign up and create email accounts like in YahooMail. Is there a plugin I should use or what else? Thanks

I don't know of an existing plugin that would do what you want but it could be created. You can use the message_before_send hook to check the recipients and throw an error before the message is sent.

The key difference between Roundcube and Thunderbird is Roundcube reads all mail directly from the mail server where as Thunderbird downloads all of the mail and stores it on the computer only syncing any operation that happens to the mail. It would be very impractical and slow to get all the mail and store it in the browser before doing any operations.

That said Roundcube does have some caching options available including memcached. You can see those options in the <RC root>/config/ file.
