Title: Upgrading from 0.9.5 to 1.2.1
Post by: Mix9050 on October 19, 2016, 06:11:52 AM
Hi
I asked my cpanel hosting company to upgrade my older 0.9.5 version to 1.2.1 and they managed to setup a new installation in a separate folder on the server. The users can log in but their settings like signature etc.. is not seen in the new installation.

Can anyone brighten my day by explaining how to copy the older settings? :-[

Big thanks in advance!!  ;D

user settings, address books etc are all stored in the roundcube database. i think there have been several schema changes between 0.9.5 and 1.2.1 but as long as you allow for those you should be able to copy the data between the 2.

Thanks!

ok, I am not that comfortable with these kind of database updates, I just told my hosting support to upgrade between these 2 versions. Do I need to tell them to do all version .x updates in between the old and the newest ver. to maintain the settings or?

The support team said that they had synced the database from the old to the new version...

there is a file called UPGRADING shipped in the root of roundcube. it has instructions on how to upgrade to a new version perhaps you should suggest they look at that?
