You may want to read the "Protect your installation" section in the installation directions https://github.com/roundcube/roundcubemail/wiki/Installation#protect-your-installation

General Discussion / Securing Installation
« Last post by Loguithat1955 on Today at 02:55:22 PM »
Is there a way to secure a Roundcube installation, so that it is not possible to access the sub-folder via a browser? For example, if i install Roundcube in a sub-folder called "roundcube" on my web-server, I'm greeted with the login form if i access this folder. File indexing is disabled, so no one can list the filenames of such folder or a sub-folder like "plugins". but when i know a filename of such sub-folder, i could see that file. For example, if there is a plugin called "enigma" with enigma.js inside this, i could view this file if i enter the whole path in the address-bar of my browser. is there anything i could do, to not allow such direct accessing of a file?

I know, this is a problem i have to address with my server software (apache, nginx) but maybe someone has some tips or maybe concern in that way, that Roundcube doesn't work after such a manipulation?

I looked over current Elastic dev files and folders, and didn't see a logo image that can be changed to a custom logo.  is that going to be added from what you know?!  :--)

1.3.4 says 100%.

https://github.com/roundcube/roundcubemail/milestones

Is 1.4  next after that?!

Well not exactly. 1.3.4 is the next milestone in the 1.3 series. It is nothing to do with when 1.4 comes out. I do not know when a stable version of 1.4 will be out but since there has not been a beta yet or anything I imagine a stable version is still some ways off.

Is there a Elastic Demo to Test?

There is no such thing as the Elastic skin yet. Its something that is being developed and there are insturctions in the readme file for people who want to try it.

Pending Issues / Re: installing plugins with only FTP access
« Last post by JohnDoh on Today at 12:32:01 PM »
you are correct that plugin-installer works with composer. but if you are installing plugins manually (like you are) then you don't that that. essentially all you need to do is put your plugin RC's plugin's folder, configure it (if needed) and enable it in your RC config.

here are some instructions for manually installing plugins: https://github.com/roundcube/roundcubemail/wiki/Plugin-API#installing-and-activating-plugins

Thanks very much for your help, John but I think I'm misunderstanding certain steps.  The plugin installer, for instance.

I unzipped plugin-installer-master and entered /src/  Inside, I see

/bin/rcubeinitdb.sh
/roundcube/composer/Plugininstaller.php

The /bin directory does match what I find in the Roundcube install but what about /roundcube/composer?  Since it does not follow the directory heiarchy of my install, should I put composer in plugins or should that folder group be set in my Roundcube root?

API Based Plugins / New Plugin: CalDAVZap
« Last post by Loguithat1955 on Today at 03:31:22 AM »
Since no one of the calendar plugins do successfully sync with Roundcube or have problems with recurring events or duplicate events, i have written a small plugin which includes the wonderful CalDAVZap directly in to Roundcube. SSO is working, as long, as you use the same credentials for Roundcube and your CalDAV source. You must have a working instance of CalDAVZap first on the same server.

Currently only Larry Skin is supported, since this plugin was designed only as a workaround for my personal need, but i would like to share it with the community. You can find the plugin at https://plugins.roundcube.net/packages/offerel/caldavzap
