Default Downloaded file problems?

So, I was attempting to install RoundCube as one of my webmail clients but whenever I download the tar.gz from either RoundCube.net or from the SourceForge site I get this error:

"Unable to unarchive "roundcubemail-0.1beta2.tar" into "Desktop".
(Error 2 - No such file or directorv.)"

I'm using a Mac running on OS X 10.4.7 and have tried using the default archive compressor and decompressor BOMArchiveHelper (I think that's it) as well as StuffIt Expander. Is there something wrong with the archive at this time?

The tar.gz file is 4KB on disk and the tar file is 16KB once it's taken out of the .gz wrapper.

Thanks!

-Michael
