POP and multidomains

I know good webbased email system with pop and imap and i think many users know this system

but developer not support system and no here new version what's why i look into
http://www.roundcube.net/ project

I hope now i get new alternative system with ajax and css 2.0
But here need many new features for making roundcube is good.

First of all, i think need make POP support and multidomain function like into uebimiau, where i can edit in config
how many domains i want read and what type of.

not all server support IMAP protocol...

1.) POP is coming, but IMAP isn't even finished yet.... so POP is still a ways off
2.) Multi-domains is supported. The only catch is that you can't have multi-domain SMTP servers.

why does the developer don't change the developing-routemap so the pop-version programming are starting now ?

Because I dont like pop . I can not understand why anyone prefers pop over imap I hope roundcube doesnt start to divert their time to pop.

i can't use local mails on imap.. all the mails are saved on the webserver.. so if the webserver crashed, my mails are lost..

Normally a Server is saver than your PC
There are tons of Webmail-Clients with POP-only support.
With IMAP I have access to my mails and the directories all over the world.

Not true... not true at all....

Most Email client (Thunderbird, Outlook, etc.) have in their account settings an "Offline" mode. This "Offline" mode allows you to download the messages for viewing later without an internet connection. In thunderbird its:
Tools--> Account Settings --> (IMAP Account) --> Offline & Diskspace --> [Select folders for offline use] (button)
So in reality, you can keep your IMAP messages. The good part about imap is that it's global in that you can do one thing to it on the server, and no matter where you access it from, it looks the same to you. POP doesn't do that (although it's coming around).

This is exactly the reason that there are redundant backups of webservers, especially mail servers, and why you have "Offline" mode in clients. So you can still have your messages if the server crashed.

Both POP and IMAP have there advantages and Disadvantages.

Brett has promised POP support in the future. I am also wanting POP but am happy to wait as Roundcube is a quality product and quality takes time.

Please do not rely on a server not crashing. You must Backup often.

Roundcube is the best one and I'd like to use it with my POP account

My provider don't use IMAP, only POP, and it's the most popular in french.
I try to insert roundcube on a Live CD, but the users won't use it.

So I can't simply use roundcube on thoses machines.
