Apple iPad problems with Roudcube
« on: November 27, 2012, 05:59:56 PM »
Hi, thanks for reading this message,

When my users are reading html messages on there IPad, they are unable to scroll down in the message.
I have seen this problem also when trying to scroll in the folder tree.

Any idea what the reason could be an how to solve this?

Platform running: Debian with a manual roundcube install (no apt install)
Roundcube version: 0.8.4
Plugins: accounts, calendar, carddav, emoticons, globaladdressbook, managesieve, userinfo, sticky_notes
iMap version: Dovecot v2

One theme change I made, <rc-install>/skins/larry/styles.css .minwidth -> min-width: 960px

Grtz.

This could be because of the way the UI is built; since the distinct parts are scrollable containers, many touchscreen devices require you to scroll them using two fingers. Worth a try. Later iOS versions have made some improvements regarding this issue, but still scrolling on some sites is a pain.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the information, we will give it a try.

It is something that has changed after 0.8 because I can remember that in 0.8 this wasn't problem.

Hi,

I've got the same problem here. The message body is not scrollable when
using the larry theme on an iPad, even when using two fingers.

With the default theme the messages are displayed completely.

Any suggestions?

Thanks a lot in advance and regards

Josch

EDIT: When double tapping a message (so that it is displayed in
a 'new' window) the scrolling with two fingers works. Hmmm ...
