Error: Wrong startup greeting

Hi, last weekend I installed roundcube 0.8.5 on my webspace. On the day of installation it was runnign fine, but from the next day on i got the following error when trying to log in to my mailserver:

I contacted my hoster to find out if they changed any server configuration since then, but they told me they did not.

Searching on the internet and in this forum mainly offered solutions for the Emty startup greeting, which seems to be a different problem. The very vew cases of wrong greeting  i found did not offer a working solution.

Any ideas why this suddenly happens and how to solve it?

You're connecting to POP3 server. Wrong port number.

Thanks, this was the problem. with 993 it works.

I think while trying to solve another problem i accidently typed in the port from my pop3-mailclient.
