Update Overwriting
« on: February 02, 2013, 01:59:52 PM »
Hi There,

In the recent update, it Overwrote my custom language file changing it back to the Default.  I copied & pasted my custom language file to be how I spent quality time updating.

Now I also noticed that the very exciting animated emoticons that I spent quality time adding to my site, went back to the default plain non animated ones.  I had my custom Emoticon directory stored elsewhere, and so I  have it back to the fun emoticons!

For updates, can Roundcube please only update needed areas?!  Much Thanks!   :)

Modifications should be done via plugin so they don't get overridden, I don't see any way that RoundCube could successfully when not replacing modified files.

Yet another reason for never updating, but installing fresh the new release beside the old, attached to a copy of the old database. I've been running a production Roundcube for several years, and always install new. Really simplifies testing and debug.
