Hey Guys,

I'm looking to see if I can install Roundcube on a linux email gateway connecting it to a mountain lion server. Reason being is that i found that mysql on the apple server is flaky and not really reliable. So i would like the webinterface to sit on a linux box and connect it up to the mail server (apple).

I don't see any issues regarding the web interface this is just creating the httpd config file in the correct location and let Apache do the rest. The mysql data base is more likely to be the issue. This needs to connect to the mail database on the lion server and i wouldn't have a clue how to do this.

If one of you guys have succedded in this a quick step by step would be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Frank

You can have Roundcube database on linux, all you need from osx is access to IMAP server via IMAP protocol. So, you need to change default_host and default_port.
