Attachment Problems on IIS & hMailServer
« on: March 09, 2007, 11:20:43 PM »
I have installed RoundCube and used it for a few days here now. I can receive attachments quite well, but I can't seem to be able to send them. Also if I forward a email with an attachement it sends but that attachment disappears.

Any help or suggestions?

On a positive note, everything else works well :)

File Upload Failed

What was the fix for this problem?  I have the exact same issue.  Roundcube used with hMailserver.  I can't seem to attach anything to an email.  I can receive attachments.  When I forward an email with attachments the attachment disappears.

Can't get attachment to work.

1. Temp in php.ini is set to C:/inetpub/temp
2. Temp in PHP main Roundcube is set to same but also tried 10 others
3. Permission to all temp folders are wide open

I don't see files get created and my error message when trying to add a file is "File upload failed".

Logs are created and have rights but no error shows.
I've tried with small files too so it's not a size problem.

I run IIS, what to do?

Hi thanks for your reply.
Setting permissions didn't change anything, still that dreadful "File upload failed" :(

Actually looking for alternative webmail since my customers demands this feature but there's really no alternative to RoundCube. :/

File Upload Failed - Problem Solved
« Reply #12 on: March 29, 2011, 10:06:43 AM »
I definately can't take credit for this fix as I read it in another forum.  I run Roundcube for hMailserver on Windows 2003 with IIS 6.  Was having the file upload failed problem.  Left the default temp directory setting alone in PHP.ini and simply added the IUSR_SERVERNAME account to have write permissions to C:\Windows\temp and the attachment service started to work.

Seems like my problem is somewhat different since this won't fix it for me.
Any other ideas?

Been checking with the settings and the logs are written (but no error message regarding the file-upload situation).
I have set the exact same rights to C:/Windows/Temp still no luck.

Been fiddling with php.ini as well disabling/editing the file and folders to point elsewhere but nothing.

Can someone post their php.ini and the Roundcube settings-file here so i can eliminate basic errors?

Is there a way to get some solid support from developers of Roundcube, possible with some payment involved?

Thanks

PS. Checked ATmail but they're only support linux and costs a fortune. DS.
