Inbox only displaying 70 messages

Hi everyone,
Complete newbie so please forgive my ignorance.

When I bring up Roundcube on my PC, my inbox only displays the 70 newest emails.  This is also the case on my Samsung cell phone.

However, when I access the same inbox on my macbook, all of the hundreds of emails are displayed no problem.

My "sent" folder displays all of the emails I've ever sent so the problem only exists with my inbox. 

Can someone please help me fix this problem.  I am at a complete loss.  Please help!!!!

I know the emails exist but I can't see them in my inbox at all.  Also, when I search for old emails it only brings up results from those 70.

Are you using Roundcube on your Mac or Apple mail?

I use it on my PC. Internet Explorer on Windows 8.

So your only using Roundcube on your windows computer?

I also bring up my emails on my Samsung mobile and occasionally on a MacBook but the problem seems to exist everywhere.

This is a new job for me that I've just started two days ago and I took over someone else's mailbox and found this problem.  What I've realized is that the inbox doesn't cap at 70 message as I originally thought, but rather does not display messages that are over one week old.

It sounds like your mail server is moving or deleting mail, the one client which has all of it must be cacheing it locally. Try connecting your email provider and ask them about it.
