Hi,

have you done anything until yet, like uploading the RC folder?
it\'s not a bug - it\'s a feature

What do you mean with "my ftp doesn't work". Your local FTP program, or the FTP functionality of the server? Send me username and password in pm... and I'll look after it... and upload the last SVN...

That may be a problem:
Code: [Select]
Filetype not allowed. File .htaccess won't be saved.
Question: How do you access your database? Do you have phpMyAdmin for your webspace?

Hi again,

I have now copied all RoundCube related files into a folder on your webserver. You'll see it ;)
I made some little changes
- db is set up and the db.config matches your settings.
- tried to get the main.config... but even with my settings of my account, it won't work. I get the following error back after a while of loading:
Code: [Select]
The following error was encountered:

  * Read Error

The system returned:

  (73) Connection reset by peer

Maybe one of the others here can tell me, whether this may be an error, because I'm _not_ allowed to create .htaccess files with the settings on this server. If so, this may a little problem... what to do now?!

Next question is:
Code: [Select]
PHP Settings
Safe Mode: ON [Turn Off]
Sendmail: Email Disabled [Enable]
Memory Limit Per Script: 2mb [Remove Limit]

Safe Mode won't matter... but I guess, sendmail off can be a problem... or not, while we connection to a IMAP server... anyway... I don't found an IMAP in your settings list... to which IMAP server / freemailer do you want to connect RoundCube? Therefor I need login name and password... but first we should get rid of this "read error" and .htaccess problem...
it\'s not a bug - it\'s a feature

So, did you solve the problem? Did anybody know the answer about the .htaccess?

I believe 8tt.org is a free hosting service and does not have its own "mailbox". Then again I could be wrong.

Hey, the hosting company you're with probably doesn't allow you to write .htaccess I would recommend you go to a company that does.

I am not spamming, but a few I would recommend with 99.9% up time guarantee would be:

-livehost.net
-globedomain.com

Both of these sites are very modest in cost (livehost would run you about $30 US Dollars a year) and include support and everything you would need including cPanel. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Oef, I just discoverd that you guys are working with a moderate system..
Not really cool but ok.. my last post isn't placed yet so I will talk futher here ;).

OT:

From the FAQ:

Quote
6.3 Can i use SMTP?

NO, no mail is allowed from our service, our upgraded plans have full mail and SMTP, EXIM, SENDMAIL, POP3, IMAP AND MORE.

6.4 Can i use (PHP) mail?
NO, mail will not send from our servers via PHP. Our upgrades service however supports POP3 & IMAP, SMTP, SENDMAIL, AUTORESPONDERS, FORWARDING ADDRESSES, SPAM ASSASSIN, SENDMAIL/EXIM ACCESS AND SPAM + VIRUS FILTERING.

All upgraded accounts recieve these features, mail accounts are unlimited, and unmetered.

I guess that roundcube won't work at this host... or you must upgrade to there upgrade plan. But that isn't free.
