Special Folders not recognized as such by RoundCube
« on: July 28, 2014, 02:24:57 PM »
I'm running Dovecot 2.2.13. Thunderbird and Squirrelmail recognize them, and use the Sent mail folder.
RoundCube see's the Inbox, and gives it the special icon. It shows the other special folders, but no special icons, and sent mail, drafts, etc. don't get saved there.

I have tried everything I've found in the forums, etc. Adding INBOX to the folder paths, and so on.

Has anyone come across this before? I've found one or two posts describing the same issue, but there were no replies.

Thank you,
 -Paul

You can set the special folders in the settings.

Thank you for your reply.

I've tried setting them in the main.inc.php file, to no avail.
I've also tried the Special Folders utility in the Settings screen. It's drop down menus only display --- and INBOX.

I've tried installing the other folders plugin but I'm having trouble with PEAR and the zlib extension.

Thanks for the help.

You mentioned the main.inc.php file - what version Roundcube are you using? That file is deprecated in the latest version.

I'm installing RoundCube into ownCloud, so I'm using version 0.9.5-4, the latest version is not compatible with the ownCloud plugin.

Is there any hope of getting this combination to work?

Just to make things even more interesting, I'm running the whole thing on debian 8.

I don't understand why it's not working, as I had the 0.9.x branch in production and it always worked for me. How do you have them declared in the config file? Are you mapping them to the actual server folder names?

Thanks for the suggestions.
I decided to upgrade RoundCube to the latest version and abondon ownCloud.
I'm using the davical to support the calendars and addressbooks.

I am now having an issue with permissions and folders. But, that's for a new thread.

Thanks again!
