I've had exactly the same problem for about two weeks now, I also can't use cut, copy or paste. When I click on one of the options I get a box come up with 'this action is not supported by your browser, please use keyboard shortcuts'.

I have emailed my mail support at blackfoot and they told me it is a java problem and that my settings must be wrong in my browser. I have spent all afternoon playing with settings in my google chrome to no avail and have now reset everything back to default and have double checked that java is operating on all sites.

After seeing your message I switch my HTML off in my emails and low and behold suddenly everything has started working again.

Someone please help, I really am no expert at all of this and it's driving me mad, can anyone explain what is going wrong?

Updating to the latest version of Roundcube (currently 1.0.5) will fix this.
Roundcube Plugins: Contextmenu, SpamAssassin Prefs, and more…

Thank you for your reply but how do I do this when Roundcube is being provided through Blackfoot hosting?

You'll have to wait until your provider updates it.
