unread mail?

I'm having trouble determining how mail shows UP as new or not new in Roundcube. It seems to me that it shows up as new (in bold) but it seems to be changing to unread (not bold)...i have a few people check this mail box so it's hard to see when there is new mail in....unless i am doing something wrong or have settings wrong. Does this have something to do with also having them in Outlook? i have my main computer using outlook but i also have a workstation with Roundcube checking that email. Is it showing up as "unread" because it's going to Outlook also?

Im just thiking that my employees won't see it bold and not know it's new....

Thanks for any help. i am not any kind of programmer/IT person/administrator. I just know enough to have installed Roundcube :)

It sounds like the Outlook is configured to use POP, that will result in the mailboxes being in a non matching state. I would recommend you reconfigure Outlook to use IMAP so read state will be matched.
