Mailbox full?

Goodday,

Excuse me, if this has been asked before, didn't find anything by googling my problem.
Yesterday I saw that my inbox was full, which surprised me because it was only at 80% the day before and I don't usually get that much mail in one day.
I immediately deleted a bunch of them and brought it down to 70%.
However, since then I have not gotten any mail on Roundcube and when I try to send myself a mail from a different account, the mail comes back saying my Roundcube Mailbox is full, which doesn't seem to be possible.
Deleting the files from my Sent folder didn't help either (There were some bigger files in there).

I really hope someone can help me, because I'm awaiting some really important mail from my university.

Edit: I now only have 22 messages saved and it still says I'm using 77% memory and I still can't receive mail.

When you delete email it maybe flagging email as deleted instead of actually deleting them. To remove emails that have been flagged as deleted select the gear in the lower left hand corner and select compact.
