Searching or filtering emails not functioning

Was looking around for a solution to this, but does not seem to be able to find one.

Upper rigt is a filter line.
Two settings - what types of emails yu are looking for, and a line to type in, with settings of where to search in emails, and which folder (this, this and subfolders or all folders) to search in.
Type in part of some email adress, check all folders, and sender and receiver.

Takes some time, but eventually the search finds ONE email with the search-string in the subject.
I know there is at least 2 emails, in which the searchstring exists in the sender, and at least 2 where it exists in the receiver.

Something is not doing as it is supposed to...

The form of Captcha used in this formum is harassment of users.

The searching is done by your IMAP server. You could enable imap_debug to log the communication between Roundcube and the server to check the response may be but the problem is likely to be server side.
