SSL connection for Self Signed certificates is failing.

Hi,

After updating to the latest version of RoundCube I am not able to login. Checking the problem revealed that the I was using a Self Signed certificate for my mail server thus this was not working after switching to a valid Let's Encrypt certificate fixed the issue.

I tested this on 1.3.6 and the installation is working with a Self Signed certificate.

So is there any changes done in the latest version of RoundCube to prevent the use of a Self Signed certificate.

When you updated Roundcube did you also update PHP?

With PHP 5.6 certificate validation is enabled by default see http://php.net/manual/en/migration56.openssl.php
