Attachments not showing - a workaround

Well, I noticed that many people had trouble opening attachments, if they were images they would be show as code, if they were excell or pdfs they were impossible to open, I live in Mexico so most of of my users have their accounts set to "es" as language, if I change this to "en_US" (on the users table, language column -mysql) everything works fine (images and other attachements), I'm asking for the people at RoundCube to recommend what to do for a solution, and thanks for such a great program!
