can't log in after upgrade...

I have RoundCube .1-rc2 working wekk. I downloaded .1 stable and simply replaced the four items in the UPGRADING file from the download. Now when I try to log in I get a login failed. If you use my old rc2 roundcube folder I can login just fine.

Any ideas on how to debug this?

It appears that rc2 supported CRAM-MD5 authentication but the .1 stable release does not. If I set my IMAP server to allow clear text authentication then I can login. I won't use clear text authentication.

So, any ideas on how to get the authentication that worked in rc2 to work with .1 stable?
