Roundcube 1.4.3 really slow

Hi,

I just finished installing Roundcube and everything works fine (send,recieve, ....). The problem is that its super slow loading; for example, takes for ever to show the email list.

I do the same from thunderbird and everything goes fast. I allso installed a alternative webmail (rainloop) and its fast when loading messages. Server show its not under heavy load either.

I think its Roundcube, but i dont really know where to start looking, im a 1st time roundcube user. Could someone point me in the correct direction?

The log looks normal, but there are delays on AUTHENTICATE PLAIN requests. So, investigate that on the dovecot's side.

BTW, you can configure log timestamp format to include milliseconds.

Thanks for the reply. Ill look further into dovecot configuration. What is the apropiate time to finish a login? In the log seems it look 3 seconds, but when im loading the message list in roundcube it takes much longet to show the message list.

What exactly do you mean longer? There's several IMAP requests when you load the whole Mail UI, so it will sum up. Check also the browser console for some timings.

Hi,

It takes around 10-12 seconds from login bottom press to show all messages (around 6 messages only). This happens everytime i show the inbox. I know it isnt much, but the sensation is it takes for ever and more if im moving between different menu areas back and forth.

Maybe im expecting too much and this are normal loading times, but i dont get that "waiting" feeling when i use thunderbird.

No, this is not normal.
