Need to transition email to new site host

Hopefully someone here can help.

I'm on the board of a nonprofit org that previously used Homestead to build and host their website and Roundcube was the email host. Upon transferring the domain to Squarespace and building the site, we are still able to send out emails, but not receive them. I have a few questions:

Is there any way to retrieve messages that we have received since transferring the site's domain?
Can we use the same email address on Squarespace once we set up the Google Workspace?
Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing and willing to walk me through it?
