I am a computer bonehead, so please keep that in mind.
I have a long-standing e-mail account at ydl.net. They use Roundcube webmail, and the web interface is the only interface I have ever used to access this e-mail.
I'd like to back up this information somewhere else....using an e-mail program (Eudora, Mac Mail) or another e-mail service (Gmail).
I have three folders...Inbox, Sent, and sent-mail (the service for some reason split the sent mail into these two folders after an upgrade a year or two ago, or something like that).
I was successful in getting Gmail to back up the Inbox. The problem seems to be the Sent and sent-mail folders. How do I back them up? I tried with Apple Mac Mail, but they kept asking for the name of outgoing SMTP(?) servers, but I don't know what that means.
