i am getting this when trying to use roundcube with my hmail.

i can use hmail fine with outlook so it has to be something with roundcube i think... let me know if you have any ideas...

I use hmailserver along with RoundCube without any problems. Make sure that smtp (authentication) settings in ./config/main.inc.php and in IP-Ranges (hMailServer) are accordingly.

i was missing smtp server...
