Date sorting?
« on: August 13, 2006, 12:32:06 PM »
We are running an older version of RoundCube, not sure offhand which version but we installed it maybe 6 months ago.

The version we have no doesn't sort by date correctly, we were told by folks in the RC community that this was because the date sorting only works if our IMAP server support it. We checked into this and were told by the makers of our mail server (SurgeMail) that they do not support that feature in IMAP.

Does the newest version of RC still require this feature in IMAP to sort correctly by date?

We can't get our vendor to budge and we really want to roll out RC to our customers as a replacement for the horrible product we have been using for the last few years (@mail). We can't roll it out as long as this date problem exist for us, it's not an option to change back end mail servers so..

Any info on this would be appreciated. ;D

Currently, the latest version (0.1 beta 2) I believe still relies upon the IMAP server to sort it; however, I know there was discussion about this in the developers list about sorting.

You can follow this line of emails about date sorting and use an updated RC version to get sorting working properly:
