sort by date not working?

when I sort my inbox by date it does not appear to work. the view refreshes and looks like it is doing something, but they are just in a random order. any ideas?

I'm having the same problem, sorting seems to do something but the result is kinda random, although the same every time. Anyways it's not sorted correctly

I also seem to have a problem searching, it always shows no results

i'm also having trouble checking for new mail. I have to click on a few folders until they show up at all...
