hi,

I have installed the latest stable roundcube 0.3 to access an external imap server which I don´t administer.

I have been reading how to get managesieve or sieverules to work and I think I need dovecot+Dovecot Sieve plugin to get this plugins working. The problem, as I said, is that I can´t administer or modify anything in the mail server so....¿is there any posibility to get this plugins working in this scenario?

Could I get it working if I install dovecot+sieve plugin in the server running roundcube?? maybe I should use a different sieve server??

if I can´t modify the mail server config I have no possibility to get managesieve plugin to work??

many thanks in advance for any help.

hi,

your imap server must support the managesieve protocol, it doesn’t matter if it is local or remote, you can set the host to connect to in the plugin’s config. If your imap server doesn’t support managesieve these plugins will be useless to you.
