Sort emails by date and put all in corresponding folder
« on: September 08, 2009, 08:49:05 AM »
Is it possible to add an option to sort emails by date and put all in folders like Outlook has?

I mean the following layout:

Tuesday
  • Email 1
  • Email 2
  • Email 3

Monday
  • Email 1
  • Email 2
  • Email 3

Last week
  • Email 1
  • Email 2
  • Email 3

Two weeks ago
  • Email 1
  • Email 2
  • Email 3

And so on. This is very user fiendly layout and probably it's not that hard to implement.

sorting is done by your imap server (assuming it supports SORT) I think something might have been added in 0.3 to sort based on date if the server does not support this. have you tried clicking on the column headings?

what IMAP server are you running? is there any kind of sorting applied at the moment?

You probably misunderstood me. Emails DO sort properly, but they all stack inline like this:

Email 1
Email 2
Email 3
Email 4
Email 5
Email 6

I just want TO GROUP them like Outlook does, by dates. Just open MS Outlook 2007 if you have one and you'll get my idea.
