I'm setting up Roundcube for the first time and getting the following error

function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to localhost:143 (No route to host) in /var/www/html/webmail/program/lib/imap.inc on line 615
[16-Oct-2009 17:42:58 +0400]: IMAP Error: Could not connect to localhost at port 143: No route to host (POST /webmail/?_task=&_action=login)
Dovecot is running fine so can anybody suggest why I'm getting this error?
