sendmessage plugin

what does this mean as the instructions say:

Call sendmessage::compose($from,$email,$subject,$body[,$isHtml,$footer]);

and how do I do this?

'sendmessage' plugin is a helper plugin. You can send messages by other plugins by the method mentioned in the instructions.
