I'm doing a demonstration at a conference and set up RoundCube for use locally on my laptop, running Ubuntu 10.04. I set up /etc/hosts to give normal looking domain names to my local host. Two users are set up on the local machine and I'm trying to email 'mark' from 'discountcc' via RoundCube. In the demo, discountcc is a user at update.ru and mark is a user at markD610.org. mark reads his email using Evolution and discountcc sends from RoundCube.
Here's what /etc/hosts looks like:
127.0.0.1 localhost mail.localhost
127.0.1.1 mark-D610
127.0.1.1 markD610.org
127.0.1.1 update.ru
For whatever reason,
mark@update.ru receives mail, but
mark@markD610.org does not. All of the addresses above are pingable. Here's the error message:
This is the mail system at host mark-D610.

The mail system

Apparently roundcube looks at /etc/hosts for update.ru, but not for markD610.org. Any suggestions?
