Public folders generating multiple cached records
« on: January 04, 2011, 08:57:12 AM »
I have roundcube 0.5-RC setup and working well with one exception.

We have a domain with multiple users who can all see around 10 public inbox folders as well as their own. When opening one of these for the first time roundcube caches its contents and then loading is nice and fast thereafter for that user. However when another user opens the same folder the messages are cached again.

Is there a way to tell roundcube that a folder is public and should have a global cache?

P.S. Each folder has upto 20K messages in and we have 30 users so for all users to keep in sync will require building up a big database and take quite a while of each user waiting for the cache to be generated.

Any help appreciated!

I think that would require a database structure change but it does sound like a good idea. You should submit a feature request on the trac http://trac.roundcube.net/
