Performance Improvements & Storing Mails
« on: March 20, 2011, 05:30:30 AM »
I have very large quantities of historic mail. Before using webmail I used to keep this in "local folders". I am wondering:
[LIST=a]
  • Do large volumes of mail affect performance?
  • Are there any recommendations about configuring to optimise perfromance?
  • Is there a way to use the equivalent of "local folders" (or is that in effect what "folders" are?

many thanks...................... liz

p.s. ithink roundcube is a really good app and recommed it to anyone wanting to get away for being tied to a specific desktop.

A. Yes large volumes of mail can affect performance but it depends on your settings how bad the effect will be.
B. Read through http://trac.roundcube.net/wiki/Howto_Performance
C. I'm not sure what you mean.
