Sticky Notes Plugin - Refactoring
« on: March 17, 2011, 02:05:39 AM »
Sticky Notes Plugin has to be refactored. The currently used third party jquery plugin is buggy and outdated. It looks like it is not maintained anymore.

Please vote, if you like the planned new style:

It looks good to me, I'm not sure about the name field but I guess it could be used as a category field or something like that.

My goal is to allow posting of notes to users in the same group. hMailserver supports user groups and I'm other backends have this feature too. I'm planning to code this feature driver based.

I agree with skareo. An idea is to make the label of the name field configurable.

Do you guys really want to see categories? Did you notice that we have three different colors to categorize notes. More colors could be added easily.

I think I just don't use the name box until the across group posting feature is implemented.

A color alone can be used to identify equal categories, but does show the category label.

In the current sticky_notes release you can't do that. Refactoring is on my ToDo's. But this will take a while due to other coding projects.
