Some confusion exists on the fact that the setting for imap_auth_type in main.inc.php seems to be ignored during step 3 of the installer script.  Regardless of what the user sets in imap_auth_type in main.inc.php, during the final installation tests, the value of 'check' is used.

After installation, when logging in from the main user access page, the user setting is honored.

As a followup, I think it would be useful - since the the imap_auth_type can be dynamically determined based on the server capabilities, to show the value used during step 3 of the installer script.  This would have saved a number of people a lot of frustration.

I was stuck a good time at this point, even because the imap logs seems to be not working with the installer...
